ALISHA & BRETT
NAVIGATING SCALP PSORIASIS

WILL (VO):
Did you experience psoriasis symptoms in any hard-to-treat areas and what was that like?

BRETT (VO):
When psoriasis hit, it started in my scalp. I couldn’t get my skin clear enough. The raised, redness and scalp flaking. It was awful.

ALISHA (VO):
Yeah, my scalp was really, hard to treat.

ALISHA (VO):
It’s like I have this kinky, coily hair, and a lot of treatments you can’t put in your hair.

On-screen Text:
SKYRIZI is a prescription medicine used to treat adults with moderate to severe plaque psoriasis who may benefit from taking injections or pills (systemic therapy) or treatment using ultraviolet or UV light (phototherapy).

ALISHA (VO):
And I just remember my grandmother having to take all day long to wash it and condition it.

ALISHA (VO):
You’re always having to think two steps ahead in regards to how is my psoriasis going to show itself to those around me.

BRETT (VO):
It was constantly on your mind.

BRETT (VO):
I would go into my office, and I would just sit there and do this trying to get as much of it off of me as I could, so that I wouldn’t be presenting and feel like stuff’s just falling off.

SELINA (VO):
Walk us through your story about how you chose a biologic for your plaque psoriasis.

BRETT (VO):
I was covered in plaques, and when I looked at Dr. Ackerman, I think I was probably crying at the time, and I just said I gotta get rid of this.

On-screen Text:
Brett and his doctor discussed the side effects, risks, and safety profile of SKYRIZI.

BRETT (VO):
Topicals and shampoos were not working for me.

BRETT (VO):
And she went to SKYRIZI. That’s the one I’ve been on since.

ALISHA (VO):
Yeah, for me, topicals and phototherapies just weren’t doing enough.

On-screen Text:
Alisha and her doctor discussed the side effects, risks, and safety profile of SKYRIZI.

ALISHA (VO):
And so, I went to talk to my dermatologist and she suggested SKYRIZI.

BRETT (VO):
How did your skin improve with SKYRIZI?

On-screen Text:
In a study of 105 patients with moderate to severe scalp psoriasis, a majority of patients on SKYRIZI achieved clearer skin on their scalp at 4 months.

BRETT (VO):
Well, it started to clear up, I didn’t have the red plaques

ALISHA (VO):
Those plaques started to fade. And then over time, they went away.

On-screen Text:
In the same study, many patients on SKYRIZI were 100% plaque free on their scalp at 4 months.

BRETT (VO):
My skin being clearer is probably the greatest thing.

BRETT (VO):
...In my role of presenting to large groups of people to feel like, okay, they’re looking at me and listening to me. It was nice.
